Outline

Course outcomes:

Students are given strategies to embrace the responsibilities and opportunities that come with being the most senior students in school. For some the leap in work load and expectation will be the first time they have really faced struggles in their learning. They are shown the value of developing further leadership skills for life and learn the importance of self-improvement by becoming more independent learners.

Topics covered:

  • Building on natural talent & work ethic
  • Speaking in public (interviews & presentations)
  • Drawing strength from your success
  • Taking personal responsibility and ‘making it happen’
  • Creativity & problem solving
  • Grasping opportunities & getting involved
