Feedback from Secondary Teachers
"I found the Live-N-Learn team to be extremely responsive to our needs. They took the time to find out about our pupils, our context and our aims for the day. At all times they communicated effectively with the school, staff and pupils, adapting to their audiences smoothly and appropriately. The day was fun, but fact-packed, the pupils engaged with the learning experience and still use, and talk about, the skills and strategies they were taught on that day."
Bishopsgarth School, Stockton
"Our pupils thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience, commenting on the great atmosphere, inspirational music & presentation, and thought provoking messages. All pupils have set themselves goals for personal and academic/vocational development. The workshops really set the tone for entering the senior phase of school and made the pupils aware of the importance of this milestone. This echoed the school message that as young adults they hold the responsibility for their future development in their own hands. Pupils have requested that this induction be made available to senior pupils in the future."
Glenrothes High School, Fife
"The workshop was excellent. I was highly impressed with the content, resources and delivery. As a whole, it delivered exactly what we required. The comments by pupils at the end show that they thoroughly enjoyed it. In this respect, I think it highly likely we would use it annually with Y9. Thanks"
Bowland High School, Lancashire
"Our S4 pupils found the work on exam preparation not only entertaining but very powerful. The sessions left our pupils with a real feel good factor. The practical skills and work on self confidence will undoubtedly help them in their fourth coming exams and beyond."
St Machar Academy, Aberdeen
"This was entertaining, interesting and made the pupils really focus on their futures. Money well spent. I will certainly be inviting Live-N-Learn back to St Josephs. A big thank you!”

"Live-N-Learn proved to be an excellent school workshop provider. This was fun with substance. It highlighted to our young people the importance of being resilient and taking personal responsibility. The areas they addressed were up to date, relevant and meaningful to our pupils. Our staff and pupils were impressed and provided positive feedback."
Boroughmuir High School, Edinburgh

“Live-N-Learn workshops surpassed our expectations. The seminars were tailored to students’ needs and student feedback has been excellent. The interactive technology ensured the presentations were fast paced and relevant. The presenters were engaging and up-to-date. We’ve already booked in for next year and have taken advantage of the opportunity to book the parent seminar. Thank you”

"We arranged for Live-N-Learn to empower and motivate our S2 & S3 pupils. Using contemporary materials incorperating 'celebrities', current TV shows, invigorating music and interactive ICT, they delivered a snappy and enervating programme which captivated and delighted their audience. Underpinning this however was the serious message about the importance of having a positive mind set, taking on personal responsibiltiy, working hard for what you want and developing the skills necessary to succeed in our modern life. A message which most definitly got through to the pupils. We will certainly be inviting them back."
Ardnamurchan High School, Highland
"One of the many strengths of the Live-N-Learn programme is that their work is based on research, it's not about building self esteem, it's about building self efficacy, which is a very different issue. Whilst making young people feel positive about themselves, the Live-N-Learn team also send out the strong practical message that hard work and effort are required to achieve success."
Gracemount High School, Edinburgh
"What an excellent use of our money! The programme of activities engaged our pupils in fun, enjoyable and interesting ways. More importantly the feedback from pupils proved that they had learned a great deal. Thank you very much for making it so worthwhile."
St. James’ C of E School, Bolton
"Thanks again for the excellent presentation... a most enjoyable and entertaining day which totally met the needs of all students... extremely positive with students remarking on how informative and useful the day was for their own personal development. This is the 3rd year we have worked with Live-N-Learn and hope to continue this involvement in the future. Once again, thank you for organising and delivering this most excellent, innovative and inspiring training day."
Girvan Academy, South Ayrshire
"From the get go, this was a breeze to organise. All I had to do was book the hall and ict technician and find 50 kids - 25 from the Aimhigher cohort and 25 that the year head deemed deserved/needed some 'motivation'. The presenter arrived on time and was a delight; a calm influence on the kids. The resources were up to the minute and engaged the pupils instantly. The messages were clear and the associated workbook was fun. A great tough at the end; getting the pupils to write down goals on a postcard that would be posted back to them 'at some time' during the next 2 years at school. A poignant reminder I think. On a hot Friday afternoon, Emma entertained us and showed that by staying focused we would reap the rewards"

"Each year we arrange for outside trainers to provide training for our upper school. Sometimes the quality is very good, and sometimes the quality is variable. To ensure value for money, we have investigated a number of providers and this year opted for Live-N-Learn. The presentations were excellent and we will have no hesitation in using the same company next year."
Moffat Academy, Dumfries & Galloway
"I would strongly recommend the 'Live-N-Learn' programme for Year 11 students. The delivery style, pace and the range of activities suited the needs of all our participants. The booklets provided a useful aide memoire and the strap lines delivered throughout the activity have a synergy with our school culture. The pupil voice, through written feedback, was positive both in terms of the aims of the sessions and ECM outcomes because pupils enjoyed the learning experience"
Royton & Cromptyon School, Oldham
"A Leadership skills seminar was delivered to our prefects team. The event was well organised, thought provoking and inspiring, delivered with true panache. Not only were the materials pertinent and appropriate to the audience, the enjoyment factor was second to none. We look forward to working with Live-N-Learn again"
Queen Anne High School, Fife
"The S2 Momentum presentation was very varied. Great use of IT and visuals. Pupils were engaged throughout and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The themes fitted in very well with our options programme for S2 and was an excellent example of active learning."
Abronhill High, North Lanarkshire
"When I booked the session for Live-N-Learn after discussing it with our Aimhigher Borough co-ordinator Nikki I was unsure how the session would go. Two hours seemed a long time but the variety of the activities and both the timing and duration of the breakaway activities was spot on. The students were well focused and engaged and the feedback was extremely positive. The interesting thing will be when we revisit in 6 months to see if this enthusiasm has been maintained."
Bolton Community College, Bolton
"S3 Momentum produced a fantastic response from our S3 students. It really made them think about themselves as individuals as well as part of the future adult community"
